Olympic Day celebrations in Poland started early this year with the 25th Olympic Day Picnic, marking the 105th anniversary of the Polish Olympic movement.

Over 30,000 people took part in the traditional celebration, which has been held every year since 1998.

Organised in collaboration between the Polish Olympic Committee (PKOl] and the Polish Olympians Association, the picnic is the largest sport and recreation event in Poland gathering both sports fans, families with children as well as sports stars and Olympic champions.

This year, the event focused on the upcoming Olympic Games in Paris.

Olympic Day is celebrated globally on June 23 each year to mark the anniversary of the modern Olympic Games.
